Our Roots

Carter Memorial United Methodist Church is grateful to the Carter family of Needham who pioneered children's clothing. As a congregation we have sought to continue that legacy through Christian education, commitment to community involvement and social change, and a dynamic relationship with our ministry and community partners.
  • We are a mission oriented congregation that is grateful for God's blessings in our lives and we seek to extend that blessing to others.
  • We are a church that is known regionally for its music program.
  • We are a congregation that seeks to practice discipleship so that we might be agents of change for the transformation of the world.
  • We are diverse and committed to the inclusion of God's children as a matter of love and dignity.
  • We are regional in that our worshiping congregation comes from over twenty surrounding communities.
