Community Service Scholarship
Carter Memorial UMC offers two $1,000 Community Service Scholarships to graduating seniors from Needham, Wellesley, Dedham, Dover, Norwood, Westwood, and Newton who plan to continue their education at a college, university, accredited trade school, or alternative program. Funded by proceeds from the annual Carter Church Pumpkin Patch, these scholarships honor students who demonstrate a genuine desire to serve others and express the church’s gratitude for community support.Applications can be downloaded and printed from our Online Library or requested through the church office. Completed applications with all supporting documents are due by noon on Thursday, May 8, and applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision by Saturday, May 31. A letter of intent to attend the chosen institution is required before the scholarship check is awarded.
